We went to Chloe's last night. Didn't take the dogs. She needed a bike lock cut off her bike that she had chained to her porch and lost the key to. Dave brought some fish and he fried them up for our dinner. We had some of the pickled beets that we made last summer too. Dave providing for us. Today was Rainy's haircut day. She's had two exciting days in a row. Yesterday we took both dogs to visit Jimmy's house where there are two dogs. I was glad Andy behaved well and all four dogs got along. Though the only dogs that seemed interested in each other were Andy and a dog called Snow. It rained a few times yesterday. I sat out on the back porch so I could experience the pounding on the roof better. Perhaps things cooled off a bit. Pete didn’t feel very well. Awake in the night last night contemplating "The Doom". Something about going away sets that up for me. Maybe if I wasn't leaving behind animals who usually depend on me...
